Dymon-Yaoki simulation

Simulation for Dymon-Yaoki lunar rover deployment from IM2 mission.

During my internship in space robotics simulation at JAOPS, I had the opportunity to work on several exciting projects. One of my most significant contributions was developing the simulation for the Dymon-Yaoki lunar rover as part of its mission integration with the Intuitive Machines IM-2 lander.

The goal of this work was to create a high-fidelity simulation to verify the rover’s deployment sequence and operational procedures on the lunar surface. This involved modeling the dynamic parts of the lander, the rover, and the lunar terrain environment.

Below is a demonstration of the simulation, showcasing the Yaoki rover deploying from the IM-2 lander and beginning its exploration mission.

This project was a valuable experience in developing complex, multi-body simulations for real-world space missions and played a role in the verification process for the flight model.
